2009 just finished and the new year came with the usual summaries and good resolutions. I personally like « reviews« . I sometimes do weekly or monthly reviews, i am familiar with those since it allows me to have some feedback on myself and focus on what really matters.

But reviewing a whole year is hard. In 2009, so many things happened, professionally as well as personnally. I spent the three best monthes of my life ever in Salamanca, i managed to find a job in Madrid and i now live there. I got the chance to go on vacations with some of my best friends to a very far country. Back at the very beginning of 2009, i was still living in Brussels, then i moved to Salamanca, and Madrid, Paris during the summer and then back to Madrid. For the first time, i live on my own. So, yes, it was a year full of events and changes.

Changing is far from easy. It requires a lot of strength, self-esteem, bravery and adaptability. For this reason, i’m quiet proud of what i’ve accomplished in 2009 in that sense, it was not written anywhere and i had to get over some hard moments and go through some challenges, so i’m very happy of the outcome.

Besides, in 2009 i decided to be more present on the web : now i have a twitter account, some RSS feeds about IT or comic strips; i also coded and created entirely my personal homepage, and of course there is this blog that i’m trying to write to frequently.

Nevertheless, i sometimes have the feeling that i didnt accomplish so many things on a … daily point of view. I had many objectives in 2009: improve guitar, go on with climbing (at least do frequently some sport), take some salsa lessons, or singing lessons… and at the end i hardly did anything.

So i want things to be different in 2010. I want to accomplish something out of IT. It will probably be something basic, it might just be about doing sport frequently or learn effectively a dozen of new songs at the guitar; but to me that matters. This is what i will be able to measure at the end of the year.

Thus, i have some ideas for 2010, but stay tuned, this will be detailed in a next post.

L’année 2009 est terminée et avec la nouvelle année viennent les bilans et les bonnes résolutions. Personnellement j’aime bien les bilans. Je fais parfois des bilans de la semaine, du mois; çà me permet de rester en phase avec ce qui est vraiment important pour moi.

Cependant, faire le bilan de toute une année, c’est autre chose. En 2009, tant de choses se sont passées, tant personnelles que professionnelles. J’ai passé les trois meilleurs mois de ma vie à Salamanca, j’ai ensuite réussi à m’installer à Madrid. J’ai eu la chance de partir en vacances avec de très bons amis dans un pays éloigné. Je vivais à Bruxelles au tout début 2009, puis Salamanca, Madrid, Paris durant cet été, et Madrid à nouveau; je vis enfin dans un appartement seul. Clairement, une année très riche en évènements et en changements.

Et changer, c’est loin d’être facile, çà requiert beaucoup de force, de caractère, de capacité de compromis, de courage, de capacités d’adaptation. Donc je suis assez fier de moi pour 2009 à ce sujet, c’était loin d’être gagné, j’ai relevé quelques défis, sans forcément avoir un grand filet en-dessous de moi, et je suis content.

A côté de çà, j’ai profité de 2009 pour être plus actif sur Internet, j’ai maintenant un compte twitter, j’ai des flux RSS qui concernent aussi bien l’informatique que des BD en ligne, et j’ai même créée ma page personnelle de mes propres mains; et donc ce blog que je tente d’alimenter régulièrement.

Mais à côté, j’ai l’impression d’avoir accompli peu de choses d’un point de vue plus… « quotidien ». J’avais beaucoup d’envies début 2009 : améliorer la guitare, faire de l’escalade (ou au moins pas mal de sport), pourquoi pas prendre des cours de salsa ou de chant, … et au final j’ai rien fait!

En 2010, je veux que ce soit différent. Je veux « accomplir » quelquechose, c’est basique, çà se résumera peut-être à faire du sport de manière régulière et apprendre une dizaine de chansons à la guitare dans l’année, mais pour moi c’est important. Sinon j’aurai l’impression d’avoir passé mon temps devant un ordinateur (ce que j’ai bien su faire en 2009…).

J’ai donc quelques idées pour 2010, tout çà arrive très bientôt, mais dans un autre post.
